It’s definitely not often that a local collaboration pops up on our radar, but Christy Ng’s collaborative efforts with Yuna had us blipping.
Modern woman on-the-go seems to be the brief here, as Christy Ng said ,“When Yuna and I sat down, we wanted to make something that everyone — from an 18-year-old to someone like our mums — could wear. That was very critical in our design storyboard. We wanted something that was practical yet stylish, something that Yuna can wear from day to night and that her mum can wear as well.”
The capsule consists of a saddle bag and 2-inch mules, with various different shades. Simple yet bold, both the shoes and bags place practicality first. The bags have interchangeable straps and sized suit just big enough to fit your daily essentials, and the shoes give height without sacrificing any comfort for daily use.
Despite being more of just an accessory flair rather than full-blown collection, the bags and shoes do serve to complement various styles very well, as the shape of the bag and cuts are easy to pair, yet bold enough of a statement to be on its own. Both items are handmade in Malaysia and are readily available to buy at Christy Ng’s website for a price of RM189.
