Uniqlo has showcased their latest UT collection to celebrate with Gundam Model 40th Anniversary. This collection is to honor the 40th year of the plastic figures from Mobile Suit Gundam series. The models, known as “Gunpla”, a portmanteau of Gundam Plastic Model, are known and loved by people from all ages. There is a dedicated video on uniqlo’s website that shows the Gunpla UT lineup alongside scenes of Gunpla models being manufactured.
This collection features a good range of popular Gundam model motifs taken from the MSG franchise including RX-78-2 Gundam, Nu Gundam, Zeta Gundam, and Strike Freedom Gundam. There are unique designs in this collection such as a print of the Earth Federation Space Force engraved on the mobile suits, and a design using the injection molding runner from the first Gundam. If you are a fan of the series, you will definitely enjoy this lineup!
The T-shirts are priced at RM59.90 each and are available on Uniqlo’s stores nationwide and uniqlo.com/my online store and if you are lucky, those who purchase two Gunpla UT items will receive an original Gundam plastic model as a gift (terms and condition applied).
