The end of the year is approaching – it is already October, but do not fret, there is always something going on in the world no matter the time of year – thus we introduce to you the craze of October in the art scene: INKTober.

Every year, artists from all over the world take part in INKTober, by participating in drawing 31 drawings for the 31 days in October. Since it’s birth in 2009, it has spread into a worldwide endeavor with thousands of artists from all over the world taking part yearly. All that the artists have to do is complete their drawing in either ink or pencil – upload it to their favourite social media platform – and use the hashtag #inktober.

Whilst hunting for news to bring to you, we found a home grown local artist creating a special spin on INKTober by incorporating the limitations of Instagram and using it to his advantage: @kuansinchezze.

A local illustrator and graphic designer, Leong Kuan Sin, is creating creative posts every day incorporating his colourful characters, in what looks like a gun shoot-out of the ages. But then, look what happens when you look at his feed – now you see the genius behind madness.
