Our #IOTD (Instagrammer of the Day) is Muhammad Alif Saufwan. This 27-year-old food enthusiast hails from Puchong.
“Photography is my passion,” says the Petaling Jaya primary school teacher who does wedding photography as his part time job. He enjoys food as well as photographing it. Self-proclaimed newbie to the food photography collective, he expresses his joy in exploring the possibilities.
“Wedding photography and food photography are totally different for me,” he mentions. “Each field of photography has its own challenges. For wedding photography, I need to capture moments during the event; the bride, the groom, the atmosphere, etc. For food photography on the other hand, details of the food as well as the styling to make it ‘art of food’; colour, composition and accessories enhances the food, produces a better photograph,” he adds.
For Alif, food photography is a very interesting field. He sometimes require trying new recipes and learning more about food styling. All these attributes allows him to learn and love photography more.
