“@shafiqanaksaleh_ was the Instagrammer who inspired me from the very beginning,” says our #iotd, Syafiq Ibrahim. “Looking through his feed, I felt the need to get shots like him.”
His interest in photography came about at the age of 16 but at that time, he only used film cameras, like Lomo the Holga. His interest grew when iPhones came out with an app for mobile photography. Through Instagram, he started making friends with those who shared his passion. He enjoys travelling and discovering new places as well as experiencing a new atmosphere. The photographs below are taken at Pantai Cenang, Langkawi; Bukit Frasser, Pahang; an abandoned place nearby, GMI; Pantai Bagan Lalang, Banting; Manukan Island, Sabah; Pantai Kelanang, Banting; Poring Hotspring, Sabah; Ladang Teh, Cameron Highlands and Mossy Forest, Cameron Highlands.
