It’ll be a one-off HBO Max special

After the final episode aired 15 years and nine months ago, ‘Friends’ is finally making its way back to television screens worldwide.
The full cast of ‘Friends’ will return, which stars Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry. The group will be reuniting for an unscripted hour-long special in May 2020.
In a statement made by Kevin Reilly, the chief content officer for HBO Max, he had this to say, “Guess you could call this the one where they all got back together — we are reuniting with David, Jennifer, Courteney, Matt, Lisa, and Matthew for an HBO Max special that will be programmed alongside the entire Friends library,”
Fans were also sent into a frenzy when Jennifer Aniston shared this photo with the caption “It’s happening,” on her Instagram page, prompting it to get more than 10 million likes at the time of writing! Other co-stars, such as Cox, Kudrow, Schwimmer, and Perry also posted the same photo with the same caption on their Instagram pages.
Apart from that, the special will reportedly be filmed on the original soundstage that was used to shoot the original ‘Friends’ series all those years ago.
