In a special nod to Arsenal’s history, Adidas have taken over PUMA as the club’s official kit sponsor for 19/20 and beyond, and its first move in the partnership is a special one, as the Three Stripes have brought back the ‘Bruised Banana’ kit from the early 90s.
The colourway was named as such, distinguished from its palette of Banana Yellow intersected with gradient patterns of Navy Blue that somewhat resembles its namesake.
The modern iteration however, reduces this gradient effect in order to place more emphasis on the yellow, while the patterns are reduced to finely dotted zigzag patterns all across the jersey. The jersey is finished off with Navy Blue collar and stripes on the shoulder.
The Arsenal Away ‘Bruised Banana’ 19/20 kit is available to purchase online on the 19th of July at 5PM for a price of RM 300.
