A pair of labels with eccentricity, Carhartt WIP and Motown Records which holds a strong place in American culture team up for a Fall/Winter 2019 thirteen piece capsule collection.

For those unfamiliar with Motown Records – it is an American record founded in 1959 by Berry Gordy Jr who established iconic global stars including Diana Ross, The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and The Jackson 5.

To celebrate their 60th anniversary, an exclusive capsule collection is riffed from the imagery and ephemera found in Motown’s archive and back- catalogue to pay homage to the label’s rich history.

Highlights of the collection feature a sateen bomber and rolled beanie which influence is drawn from the cover art and promo pictures for Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” and a  “Snake Pit” shirt that references Motown’s basement recording studio. Others include t-shirts and hoodies that incorporates Motown’s sub labels and the 1970 album “A Pocket Full of Miracles”.

The collaborative collection is rounded of with a co-branded Phonon headphones and a MasterSounds record weight.

The Motown x Carhartt WIP collection will launch on 15th November exclusively at Crossover Sunway Pyramid, South Key and Online.
