Malaysia Airlines has recently announced their collaboration with local designer Datuk Seri Farah Khan to redesign and re-energise the look of the national carrier’s iconic kebaya and uniforms. As part of their overall branding overhaul strategy, the clothing redesign will encompass updated uniforms for crew members on the flight deck and cabin. Farah will also extend her hand to alter the full range of uniforms of other departments under the airline, including the engineer outfits.
“With this collaboration, we are looking to create a fashionable and functional new collection,” Malaysia Airlines Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Simmon said in a recent statement.
According to the fashion designer herself, the new look will also personify the “graciousness, warmth and hospitality that Malaysia is famous for.”
The new uniforms are expected to be unveiled later this year. Stay tuned for more updates by checking up on Farah Khan’s official website.
