Continuing our coverage of local brands around Malaysia, this time we head down south to take a look at local brand that hails from Johor Bahru. Established in 2011, Native Instructions was form with an identity to revolt, but in the most subtle and discreet manner, clothes.
After a pretty long hiatus since late 2012, they recently just dropped a new line named “The Black Bureau” which is telling a story about their struggles that the brand faced during their hiatus. Struggles with the direction of the brand coupled with the desperation to find that balance between producing designs that is keeping up with the current hype and staying true to their initial vision of the brand. So this collection is dedicated to that desperation and struggle that they faced.
