The Movement Control Order has affected everyone in the country. From individuals stuck at home to businesses that need to close down due to limiting their operations and low sales.

Apart from those groups, one of the most vulnerable people are the marginalized communities.

Many of them are not able to have access to basic necessities unlike many of us. They may not have the privilege to work from home or to pay for the test to get screened for the virus.

Pestle & Mortar Clothing is collaborating with other local companies to launch their new initiative called “Stronger Together”. There will be 7 new t-shirt designs about different ways of combating the pandemic.

35% of the sales of these t-shirts will be used to purchase food and necessities for the families in need. The donations are given to a local NGO, Impact Malaysia and to even make this initiative more meaningful, the food will be sourced from smaller local businesses to help them make a living during these tough times.

Some of their partners involved in this initiative include Malaysian running club Brand New Waves, Malaysian production company Thinker Studio, Malaysian Mixed Martial Arts athlete Theeban G and many others.

CEO and Co-Founder Hugh Koh said “Pestle & Mortar Clothing was created to make an impact where we can and we wish to draw attention to the current situation surrounding the most vulnerable members of our society.”

T-shirts will be sold via a pre-order model through PMC’s online store from the 25th of March till the 3rd of April 2020. Each t-shirt will be sold at RM109.00.
