In their first ever threeway collaboration, PUMA have linked up with BALMAINand Cara Delevingne to infuse traditional boxing attire with Parisian couture. 2 capsule collections comprise this drop, both designed by BALMAIN Creative Director Olivier Rousteing and Cara, who is also Rousteing’s friend and muse.

The perfect face for the campaign too, as mentioned before by Rousteing, Cara embodies the “troublemaker” theme of his 2019 Fall runway show the best, and after collaborating numerous times, this represents their first venture with a heritage sports brand that combines Cara’s irrepressible spirit, the luxurious sensibilities of BALMAIN, and the performance aspects of PUMA.

The collection then, represents an intersection of sports and fashion. Bra tops, boxing shorts, and sneakers are changed drastically with a bright colour palette, hits of gold, and design elements plucked out from BALMAIN’s atelier.

Olivier emphasizes that this is not just another fashion collaboration. “Cara is a good friend, and this is the fruit of a shared vision,” notes the designer. “Everyone involved—PUMA, Balmain, Cara and me—was determined to create something timeless. Above all, we knew that our message needed to be a strong one, reflecting exactly who we are and what we believe in.”

“PUMA has always represented team work and empowerment so the idea of doing a partnership with Olivier seemed very fitting,” said Cara Delevingne.  “Balmain has a similar brave fierceness to their brand as PUMA does and it really excited me to think of what we could all do together. I’m really proud of what this collaboration has resulted.”

The collection will be made available on the 21st of November exclusively at PUMA KLCC, Sunway Pyramid, and Puma.com.
