Malaysia’s resident denimhead collective has just unleashed it’s latest “pull” factor that’s primed to reel in frothing bikers, rockers, punks and nostalgic 80s fashion enthusiasts into their stores. Tarik Jeans’ raw denim ‘Copper Stitch’ joins the ranks alongside it’s ‘Red Stitch’, ‘Green Stitch’ and ‘White Stitch” denim jeans, and is a perfect fit if you love your denim slim and seemingly body-conforming.
Designed in the classic Slim Ramlee cut, the 12.5 ounce limited edition pair contains 2% elastane, an elastic polyurethane material typically utilised in close-fitting attire (in case you care). It’s simple and slim denim with a focus on quality without an ounce of pretentious or flamboyant design, showcasing that if the classic formula works, why break it? Following the price range of its predecessors, you will be set back an affordable RM229 to own a pair of the ‘Copper Stitch’.
The brand itself believes that denim is integral to everyday dressing, and is adamant on filling the void as far as good local products are concerned, Tarik Jeans’ founder Afiq Iskandar says.
“With ‘The Copper Stitch’, we are again presenting a good local alternative to denim lovers across the country to be part of our family,” he says.
Since its debut in the market back in 2009, the brand has had several releases comprising mostly jeans in a selection of fits, t-shirts, jackets, chambray ‘Baju Melayu’ and caps.
