Ever wondered what’s the brand of that big WG tank top that guy or girl was wearing at FMFA or Urbanscapes? It’s Wolfgang! Normally, when one hears the word ‘Wolfgang’, one would associate it with Tyler The Creator’s ‘Golf Wang’ album or OFWGKTA which is short form for ‘Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All’ or a Filipino heavy metal band. But in fact, Wolfgang is very common German name and is pretty common around Europe too. Besides, the name has a very nice ring to it, so I guess who cares right? If it’s nice, it’s nice.
Although Wolfgang hasn’t been around for long in our local streetwear scene, they have manage to garner a pretty good following. Their minimalistic approach to streetwear and their simple yet elegant designs have definitely done well for them. Their new Spring / Summer 2013 collection has that same formula. Simple and elegant.
