It’s the final month of the year and it’s been a heck of a year for us! We hope it has been a good year for you too. So, for the final segment of the year, we have movies about a sinister neighbor, a family friendly movie set in Germany, a biographical movie about weed, a creepy couple and of course, a funny movie suitable for the Christmas season.

1. The Ones Below (2016)
Imagine moving in to a new place with your significant other and meeting an identical couple. Sounds eerie doesn’t it? That’s what happens to a pregnant Kate and Justin when they meet their neighbors downstairs, Jon and Teresa, who also happen to be expecting a baby. But when Teresa loses her baby, strange things begin to happen to Kate and Justin. Is it their imagination or are their neighbors the ones behind the incidents?
2. The Neighbor (2016)
John and his girlfriend Rosie live in a small town in Mississippi. John is a middleman who has ties with the mob but plans to leave his life to start a new one with Rosie. Unfortunately for him, on the day he decides to skip town, he comes home to find Rosie missing. His first thought is to check on his neighbor, who he feels very uncomfortable about. He finds Rosie in his neighbor’s cellar but what other secrets does his neighbor have and will they be able to survive the night?
3. Morris from America (2016)
This coming of age movie is about 13 year old American boy Morris who has recently lost his mother. He and his father, Curtis, have recently moved to Germany with each facing their own struggles. Morris faces rejection from his school peers while aspiring to be a rapper in an EDM culture and Curtis struggles German culture, coping with the death of his wife and does his best as a father. This touching story is heartwarming and is an excellent movie to watch with your father or son.
4. Kid Cannabis (2014)
Based on true events, Kid Cannabis is about a teen dropout, Nate, who builds a multimillionaire dollar empire based on marijuana. Together with his friend Topher, they devise a plan to smuggle weed from Canada to the U.S.A. Successful and becoming rich beyond their wildest dreams, they begin to enjoy the life they have always aspired. But with their extravagant lifestyle, they begin to attract unwanted attention from the authorities and rivals alike. It’s only a matter of time before they realize that crime doesn’t pay…
5. Bad Santa (2003)
It’s the season to be jolly so it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t include at least one Christmas movie. Foul-mouthed Willie and his dwarf assistant Marcus are professional thieves who disguise themselves as Santa Claus and an elf respectively every year to rob shopping malls while Marcus’s wife Lois is their getaway driver. But their annual heist this time around is in danger of failing with Willie’s degrading skills as a safecracker and a smart mall detective. With a naïve 8-year-old kid and a sexy Santa fan in tow, Willie and Marcus are in one heck of a jolly heist!
