Inspired by the famous coconut ice-cream, Sangkaya in Malaysia is quite the rave. Founders John Issac Ho, 31 and Ivy Natnicha, 37 started their business in a condominium then to pasar malam and now have their own rented premises. Sangkaya serves their creamy, non-dairy coconut ice-cream(good news for vegans!) in a halved coconut shell that still has coconut flesh, which is absolutely what we need for the hot weather here. A selection of toppings which includes sweet corn, toasted coconuts, peanuts, kidney beans and cornflakes are also available for preference. How thoughtful! Check out the pictures below for more goodness!

You can now find Sangkaya coconut ice-cream everyday at Jalan Alor from 6pm onwards and stalls in pasar malam near your neighbourhood. Find out more about them on their page.
