Who says organizing an event is easy as A, B, C ? Unless you have a lot “$$$” yes, we’re talking about money. One of the hardest part of the whole process is finding enough funds. Funding pretty much determines how good an experience for festivalgoer will get.
As you all may know, TAPAUfest is an annual day-out event where you’ll get to experience a truly Malaysian festival, discover talents the independent scene has to offer, and connect with a young and passionate community who are striving for greatness day in day out. After successfully organised the first ever TAPAUfest making it the FIRST & THE BIGGEST CROWDFUNDED FESTIVAL in South East Asia back in 2014. Within 30 days, the Tapau team were able to surpass their goal of RM85,000 and raised RM87,705 all thanks to the support of our indie community.
This time, TAPAUfest has finally made it’s official announcement which the team managed to reach their funding goals within a week before the start of their event with the help of their main sponsors, Vans Malaysia. It’s really happening this coming 31st December 2016, making it a perfect occasion to celebrate a great year in Malaysia’s independent scene.
So what are waiting for ? Instead of wasting time doing nothing on your new year eve why not come to this lovely event and support our local scene. Oh didn’t we mention that there’ll be an awesome performance by our local artist by the likes of Laila Lounge, Aman RA, Tres Empre, Maddthelin, The Venopian Solitude, Dirgahayu and many more. While at it, if you’re craving for an ice cold ABC to crispy hot a Banana Fritter Cheese there’ll be a “WARUNG” for you to eat and for those fashion lover out there shop from #lokalah brands & indie stores are also available at “PASAR” too. Not only that, you can also participate while learning some cool stuff from their workshops, talks, and screenings at Vans Malaysia official House of Vans (HOV) Workshop!
