The Row Present “Slate Weekend”

slate weekend 2The Row is throwing a Slate Weekend launch party to officiate the opening of their North Block at The Row, Jalan Doraisamy. These two days event will be happening on the 30th to 31st January and starts at 12pm until 8pm where they’ll be hosting a mini-carnival for creative inclinations.

SATURDAY 30 JANUARY 2016

MARKET by Slate Weekend, Sat 11am to 7pm
Slate Weekend will be hosting a weekend market for the creatively inclined. Vendors were curated to provide a wide selection of products to entice the public. Our list of vendors include makers of baby clothing, paintings and houseware goods, Boys On Teeth; jewellery designers, Escape Artist Collective; sneaker sellers and doodlers, Doodette; children jinbei by Yokidana; pet clothing makers PB & Joanne; stationery aficionados Pebble Paper Design, Ohsum Mossum Terrariums, floristBuds by Ilyana, and Butter + Beans.

SKATE JAM by Wheel Love Skateshop, Sat 11am
New tenants at The Row, Wheel Love Skateshop, will be hosting a skate jam as a treat to all 2 and 4 wheeled lovers out there.

EcoKnights Film Screening, Sat 5pm to 9pm
In collaboration with The Row, Ecoknights will be screenings its favoured short films and documentaries at Slate @ The Row. Donations are encouraged to support the environmental NGO in its earnest quest to bring awareness to the public about the advantages of saving our planet.

League Of Captains BBQ, Sat 6pm
Our popular Phase One tenant will be hosting a BBQ in conjunction with Slate Weekend. Bring your mates for an evening by the grill. LoC will provide the music, the food and the drinks, all you need to do is show up.

 


 

SUNDAY 31 JANUARY 2016

SKATE CLINIC by Wheel Love Skateshop, 11am
For those who have skateboards and rollerblades in dire need of some care, drop by the skate clinic to get spruce them back up. And for those who want to learn how to skate or rollerblade, you are welcomed too. The boys at Wheel Love will show you some love by teaching you a thing or two about rolling through life on wheels.

SPCA Selangor, Malaysia Pet Adoption Drive, Sun 11am
SPCA Malaysia will be bringing some of their cuddly friends to Slate Weekend. Drop by to show some love to their adorable animals, and maybe even bring one home.

L45 Book Donation Drive
Slate Weekend is helping L45 Community library stock up on some much needed books. If you have books to give away, drop by the event to drop them off. You are also welcomed to read alittle while you’re at it.

Ohsum Mossum Terrariums Workshop, 130pm
Spend your afternoon with Ronnie of Ohsum Mossum, as he teaches you the basics of terrarium-making at this workshop. The workshop is priced at RM150 per person, and all materials are included. For registration and payment, contact Ronnie at ohsummossum@gmail.com

Mother + Daughter Bouquet Workshop by Buds by Ilyana, Sun 130pm
Up and coming florist, Ilyana, will be conducting a two-hour bouquet handling workshop for moms and their daughters. All materials are included, and participants will walk away with their very own bouquets. The workshop is priced at Rm100 per pairing. League Of Captains Latte Art Throwdown, Sun 4pm
The boys at LoC are serious about their coffee; so much so that they will be hosting a battle of the best latte art in town. Drop by to experience some good art, and good coffee – and if you are good enough, join in the battle.
