You heard it here folks, Urbanscapes is back to takeover the city! The country’s longest running creative arts festival is back to bring their city-wide celebration, kicking off on 3 till 18 November 2018.
“16 years on, we would like to think of Urbanscapes as the signature of Kuala Lumpur event. We work towards bringing together an eclectic mix of art, design and music creatives and collectives to inspire interaction and participation of a community made of up people of diverse backgrounds” – Adrian Yap, Founder and Director
Same goes as in the previous years before, the festival will offer a diverse experiences that revolves around accessible arts, ideas and music, themed #REIMAGINEKL, all set against the backdrop of Kuala Lumpur. Adrian says that the festival is about encouraging all to reimagine, reconnect and reclaim the city. He adds that this year’s festival will be even more accessible, over three weekends and across multiple city spots from the likes of Chin Woo Stadium, Medan Pasar, or just at the main Urbanscapes House at 2 Jalan Hang Kasturi.
Accompanying the festival would be Urbanscapes own mini music concert, an ensemble of curated acts featuring the likes of summer’s greatest act, Khalid, North London Alt-Rock 4-piece, Wolf Alice, NY-based Bodega, South Korean indie phenomenon Se So Neon, and newly rising Bangkok singer-songwriter, Phum Viphurit.
