Syed Aizad Daniel or best known as Ejad is a futsal player hailed from the streets of Sentul, who made it to the international stage and brought glory to Malaysia when he and his team-mates won a medal in the recent AFF Cup in Thailand. Ejad grew up playing football on random small pavements around his neighbourhood of Sentul, where he learned how to kick the ball around a small confined area. Many of his friends whom he started playing with back then have now moved on to play in the national futsal team.
Local football news website, 1972FC recently caught up with the Malaysia futsal Golden Boy to learn a little bit more about him and listen to his amazing story as a futsal player. Check out the full interview HERE.
We realized you’ve been wearing the no. 3 jersey, tell us about it.
To be honest, it wasn’t a number I chose. I was given the number as I refused to choose one. Why? Haha, I always believe in staying humble and let my seniors choose their favourite number before I do. After everyone has chosen their number, the only number left for me was 3 so I took it. But given a choice, I would want to wear number 10 for Malaysia one day!
