Bell & Ross presents the GMT collection, a series of watches that are essential for airplane pilots and a must have for those who enjoy traveling around the world with the unique ability to display three different timezones at once. Following the design ethos of any other Bell & Ross watch, function and legibility come first, and it’s extremely apparent in this line.
The watch displays 3 different timezones using various multi-coloured hands and bezels as explained below:
- Three white hands display the hour in one time zone.
- The orange hand that rotates around the dial in 24 hours show a second time zone (or the local time on a 24-hour scale)
- The bi-directional bezel has a 24-hour scale. It enables reading of the second time zone, thanks to the fourth hand called “GMT” which is differentiated by the red or orange arrow depending on the model. It can also display a third time zone. Rotating it clockwise subtracts hours and anti-clockwise adds hours.
There are few different types of GMT that have been introduced, BR 03-93 GMT (priced at Rm 15,000), BR V2-93 GMT with rubber straps (Rm 13,200) and steel strap (Rm 14,600). The BR V2-93 GMT BLUE also comes with steel strap (Rm 14,600) and elastic canvas (Rm 13,200).
