Toughness, Personified
To be honest, there really isn’t much that needs to be changed when it comes to designing a G-SHOCK. It’s stood the test of time perfectly well, and in the age where everyone is retro obsessed, no time is more appropriate than now to stand on the far end of the digital watch scale, and with this model, it’s pretty damn far up.
Of course, the model we’re talking about is the GMW-B5000V, the perennial model of the line, but this round, has been given a Black Aged IP Treatment for a more weathered look that befits its character. The watch inherits the square shape of the first G-SHOCK while featuring a full stainless steel outer construction. The watch also includes Bluetooth connectivity and a radio antenna to receive time-calibration signals.
Neat, and most of all definitely practical. BUT, the price may be a bit steep for some. Coming in at RM 4149, some may consider it too expensive for a digital watch, but for a watch that can outlast time, it’s practically chump change.
The GMW-B5000V is available now at selected G-Factory stores now.
