Hotels nowadays get lost in the swirling vortex of modernistic minimalism design language, which is appealing at first, but then quickly tapers down to the same formula, just mixed in with various different parts. However, KLoé aims to be something different, as the hotel is targeting a different kind of breed: creatives.

Set in the hustle and bustle of the Bukit Bintang district, the 85 room hotel places a #SapotLokal initiative first, with many of the items, furnishings, and decorations coming from creative minds of local studios and artists, directed by a local curator in order to shape the room to KLoé ‘s vision. The highlight of this offering is the 5 lofts, split to conquer 5 different pursuits: Room To Grow, Room To Draw, Room To Read, Room To Listen, and Room To Taste.

Each of these rooms are tailored and curated by 5 individuals who are at the forefront of their fields, including Rudy La Faber (Founder of FONO KL), Joee Cheong, Ronnie Khoo (Owner of Ohsum Mossum), Sarah Benjamin (AFC Host, Cook) and Nazir (Co-founder of Tintabudi).

While the looks of the space is aesthetically pleasing, the feel is also taken into account. Rooms are awashed with duck-egg blue and sage, colours that put the mind at ease. Liberal use of copper-trimmed storage and furnishings give a mid-century luxury, from the real oakwood floors to hand-poured terrazzo tables feature in every room.

The rooms are also equipped to the tee for the savvy globetrotter, with smartphone to tv connectivity, artisanal snacks, city guides, and a fully kitted out amenity set from Aesop.

For the lifestyle aspect of things, the hotel hosts 2 eateries, a cafe named Lucky Coffee which is run and owned by LOKL, as well as a Californian styled diner named Monroe. Apart from the swimming pool, the hotel is also equipped with a wellness spa named B.est Mind and Body that offers a holistic approach to fitness, offering classes for yoga, mediation, and fitness sessions.

The hotel also comes equipped with a bar, called The Secret Mermaid which houses the largest selection of American spirits in KL.

The hotel hopes to be a creative hub once it has fully opened, a space where travelers from all walks of life can come together and share inspirations amongst each other.

Three types of room are available, the City Room, Courtyard Room, and Loft with the prices starting from RM 400, RM 500, and RM 700.
