Watch the video to see an experiment done back in 1970 performed by Ms. Jane Elliott on 3rd graders (8 years old) in the United States. Ms. Jane made her 3rd graders hate each other for the best reason imaginable, which is to let them feel first hand what discrimination is like and how it goes hand in hand with racism. One of the highlights of the experiment is when a boy name Russell used  “brown eyes” as a derogatory term to call John names, only a couple of hours into the experiment.

Bottom line, whether or not you’re brown eyed, blue eyed, black eyed or the Black Eyed Peas, or whatever race you are, you wouldn’t like wearing a “collar” for being you, so don’t put a “collar” on anyone else.
