But what she doesn’t know, is that the villagers have been waiting for her because she has what they needed to lift off a tormenting curse. The movie marks the history for Indonesian films as it will be premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival under the name ‘Impetigore’. THE KING’S MAN – 13 FEBRUARY 2020
The much-loved ‘Kingsman’ franchise making its return this year with a prequel that takes place during World War 1. The movie shows the early days of the Kingsmen and how the secret service was initially formed. According to 20th Century Studios, it acts as a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man and his protégé must race against time to stop them. The movie consists of so many talented actors such as Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arteton, Rhys Irfan, Harris Dickinson, Charles Dance and many more. This movie is certainly going to be overlooked due to lack of marketing promotion, so make sure you get your Kingsman hype on lock this February!
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG – 13 FEBRUARY 2020
Sonic, the infamous SEGA character that we all love from our childhood is finally making its debut in live action form. The story begins with Sonic attempts to maneuver the complications of life on Earth with a human named Tom Wachowski. After things got more hectic, they join forces to avert the malicious Dr. Robotnik from seizing Sonic and exploiting his powers for world domination. The movie stars Ben Schwartz, Jim Carrey and James Marsden.
ZOMBITOPIA – 13 FEBRUARY 2020
I end the list with pride of local movies that are keep getting bigger and better as time goes on. Zombitopia follows the story after the world is still in its recovery after a zombie virus epidemic when a new strain of the virus surfaces amongst Malaysians. Zidik, who was orphaned during the first wave of the virus finds himself at risk of losing everyone he has ever cared about for the second time. Ascertaining the fact that he is insusceptible to the zombie infection, Zidik is brought up front with the big-boss behind the most recent zombie outbreak, Dr. Rahman. The movie featured a star-studded cast of local actors such as Shaheizy Sam, Bront Palarae, Elvina Mohamad, Azman Hassan, and Malaysia’s all-time sweetheart, Sharifah Amani.
