Way past the era of Robert Downey Jr.’s Sherlock Holmes, comes another one that features a unique cast, more so as the film is at the helm of ex-international MI6 super spy, Daniel Craig, in a murder mystery of a famous patriarch and his combative family.
This film follows Craig as a suave southern detective named Benoit Blanc and his partner, Troy Archer (Lakeith Stanfield) who are called upon to investigate the death of renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) on his 85th birthday, starting with the family members, whom are from eccentric backstories, further adding to the complications as to whom planted the kiss of death on the victim.
With the trailer released, Rian Johnson states; “It doesn’t give anything major away but it does show things that are most enjoyably seen for the first time in the movie. If you want to come in totally clean, you know what to do.”
