Relive the glory days of the underground, as legendary grunge band Butterfingers reunite to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their best-selling album, Transcendence.
And it has been a long while too. Since their last performance in 2009, the band members have continued down their own paths with Emmett leaving to Canada to continue his studies and Loque heading to Berklee and subsequently becoming a solo act under the guise of monoloQue. Heavily influenced by metal bands such as Metallica, the group eventually transitioned to grunge as the genre was rising amongst the scene back then.
Of course, all of this is a sweet, sweet throwback to the glory days of the band, and one that would be welcomed by loyal fans whom have been religiously following the band from start till finish. From wildly popular tracks like The Chemistry (Between Us), Vio-pipe, Nicc ‘O’ Tyne, Faculties of Mind, each one holds a different meaning to each individual, and at last, will be reunited for one night only.
The reunion concert will take place at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam, on the 2nd of November. Details are yet to come, but we’ll keep you posted if and when it comes, so stay tuned.
