Ensemble Koschka, a chamber classical music ensemble was formed in 2008 by Jascha Yasufumi Shimano, former Music Director-Conductor of the Penang State Symphony Orchestra & Chorus. Since it’s beginning, Ensemble Koschka has performed numerous concerts in Penang with the goal of promoting the local classical music scene. The ensemble has also been on tour to perform in Japan since 2010, performing a combination of classical music and arrangements of Malaysian folk songs.
