Get Ready For A Somber (But Fulfilling) Time

Written by Aqil Nasri

After a 2 year hiatus, Putrajaya’s neo-psychedelic outfit is back at it, this time with a new single titled “Galeia’s Touch.”

It’s hard to describe in words how deliriously sinful the song sounds, like a love that’s so wrong but yet feels so right on so many levels. It’s like a gloomy version of Young Monks ‘Jarmin’ in the Dark’, except with less funky bassline all around. The constant beats of the drum combined with the rhythm guitar ferry you to a far-away land filled with colourful clouds that floats you safely. You feel weightless, as if all your problems have been lifted from your shoulders by angels from an alien land. The longer the song goes on, the more relaxed you get. You feel sleepy, but you don’t want to sleep. You’re in a delicate balance between being awake but at the same time, you are not really awake. You’re not aware of what’s happening to the world around. You are just there, eyes closed, humming to the tune of the song, when all of a sudden, the song just snaps out of existence and stops abruptly.

What a cruel way to end such a good song on. I can’t wait to see what more they’ll have in store for their upcoming full-length album that’s going to be released in 2020.
