Five-piece local rock band Kyoto Protocol has professed their love over our imperfect capital city through their latest music video, “KL I Sayang You“. This little number derived from their album titled “Catch These Men” features an upbeat, poppy melody as the backdrop to the appreciative lyricism, and a cute guitar solo that lends the music a catchy quality.
This music video was done by the talented production house Luey Motion Lab where they managed to capture the love we urban dwellers harbour for KL, despite mounting costs of living and the unmistakably uglier aspects of the dreaded rat race in the city.
Fuad said “I personally really liked the idea because it allows us to deliver the message of the song, which is to “take back our town” or in bahasa it’s “pulangkan kota”. And what we mean by that is just because someone cuts your queue, doesn’t mean you have to right to do it too, It was meant to remind KL-ites and Malaysians of our culture of “sopan santun” But we also encourage taking actions in your own hands to make things right again.
