This week, homegrown heavy pop-punk band Scarlet Heroes has just release their latest single “Radio Romeo” in a form of music video. If you’re a fans of classic and modern pop punk like Blink182, A Story So Far and Mayday Parade – to easycore and post hardcore bands like C!NCC!, Abandoned By Bears and Issues then you might wanna check them out.
This song is about a guy who’s trying to get the attention of a girl who he really likes. The girl is just not reciprocating the same feeling. She gives him just enough attention to keep him on the line but she also gives others her attention too (“singing another rhythm on the side”). “Radio” is used as a metaphor throughout the song to show how the guy is “broadcasting” to the girl “on the airwaves”. The music video concept was developed by Scarlet Heroes and directed/edited by Haziq Afnan from local band I Lost The Plot. ‘Radio Romeo’ is the 4th single release from the band’s upcoming debut album, Somewhere Under the Atmosphere, due for full release later this year.
