Never one to stop, famed electro-pop duo Pastel Lite is back at it with a city pop track that details on the hunger of one’s love and the trust and reassurance that comes with it, which is a very distant departure from the ethereal, dreamy sounds of their previous full-length album, “Balada.”
“Hello Sayang” is an easily digestible love song, a blessed infinite of emotions that course through the veins in a myriad of excitement, uncertainty, happiness, and worry, carried through the licks and riffs of Naza’s adept finger picking skills that resemble a John Mayer-esque solo, reverberating its simplicity in the most intoxicating way.
The beauty of this song is that it hooks onto you almost instantaneously, a gleeful blend of uptempo beats, easy to understand lyrics, coupled with a 90s visual outlook of Petaling Street.
