Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Nirvana. These are the bands used to describe local grunge outfit Sweetass, and the band have delivered another energetic banger with the release of “Celaka.”
Portraying the naive youth growing out of its insulating imaginary world and into reality, director John Hafiz envisions what Celaka, or foul means, in the form of a so-called friend dancing like an asshole at the corner while everyone progressively regresses to their naked, and shittiest form. Kerana nila setitik, rosak susu sebelanga, it only takes one asshole to bring everyone down, while he bides his time, waiting to become the wedge between you and the easily dirtied cloth of youthful romance.
