At first glance, this latest colourway of the Air Jordan 3 draws very close similarities to the obscenely expensive DJ Khaled “Grateful” Jordan 3s, but there are a few differences that differentiates the price tags for both models. Though the colourways grows from the same roots, they have very different stories.
The “Unite” harkens back to Michael Jordan’s Golden Era, specifically during the All-Star Weekend when he controversially leaped from the free-throw line to win the Slam Dunk contest. But look closer with a magnifier, and you’ll see very subtle changes to the height of the toebox, detailings to the elephant-print, as well as the tongue lining in an attempt to recapture the original shape of the 88′ silhouette.
This is the closest retro to have ever come to the original, and if you ask us, it’s one of the best looking 3s yet.
The Air Jordan 3 “Unite” drops this Friday on Nike.com for a price of RM 815.
