The AJ4 ‘Raptors’ have been here a long, long time ago, but only now do we get some semblance of a stock on our shores. Unlike Travis’s ‘Cactus Jack’ AJ4s, the Raptors have had no affiliation with Drake whatsoever, although rumours were circulating around that this was meant to be Drake’s last collaboration pair with the brand before cutting off ties to join Adidas.
Turns out, it was all fart.
Nevertheless, the namesake stays as it is due to the colourway reflecting that of the Toronto Raptors’ house colours. the Air Jordan 4 gets draped in black nubuck upper, speckled purple midsole, finished off with red detailings on the outsole, cage, and linings on the tongue that adds a little bit of pop to the otherwise stealthy look. Jordan logo embraces the heel cup of the shoe in purple that completes the silhouette nicely.
Given that there’s no celebrity affiliations, it should be somewhat easier to cop when it drops on the 19th of September on Nike. Expect prices to retail at RM800+, and about twice that on the resell market. Will you cop it?
