After doing a great job with the adidas UltraBoost, German sneaker store Solebox partners up with Asics for the Asics Gel-Lyte III x Solebox “Blue Carpenter Bee”, designed by the founder of Solebox, Hikmet Sugoer.
This collab is inspired by a special species of bee called the Xylocopa Bombylans a.k.a. the blue carpenter bee. The full black nubuck upper and the bright blue microsuede tongue serves its purpose of paying tribute to the Austrian insect. The carpenter bee’s wings is represented by the classic tiger stripes with underlying grid. There is also partly translucent outsole that reveals the Solebox logo on one side and the bee on the other.
