The story begun in post World War 2 Japan, the war is over and US servicemen and women are going to leave their own base. Hence, they commissioned local Japanese craftsmen to produce unique items of clothing that they could take home as a memento of their time in Asia, which created the Souvenir Jacket.
Converse took this opportunity to merge the “Souvenir Jacket” idea with their iconic silhouette All Star 70s as a sneaker pack. So, they are available in 2 variants: one featured tiger’s embroidery with white midsole and the other one with embroidered snake and skull graphic. Both are offered in soft premium goat leather, as a seasonally relevant alternative to the lightweight silk and satin garments that inspired them.
To celebrate Converse First String’s highest level of craftsmanship, authenticity and collaboration, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ‘70 “Souvenir Jacket” Collection is available now at Sole What Mid Valley & Sole What The Gardens. Pricing at RM599.90
