To celebrate their 10th anniversary, CROSSOVER concept store got together with Reebok once again to rework the classic Ventilator. This time round, we took a closer look at the pair to check out some of the details that we might have missed previously.
First things first, if you notice in the first few pictures, the pair is inside a special box. The special box will be made available to customers who buy a pair of “NAM” Ventilator from CROSSOVER’s Mid Valley store this coming weekend. Also, the pair is inspired from the US one-man Jet Fighter, the A-1 Skyraider, which was used in many wars, especially the Vietnam War. Hence the name “NAM” Ventilator. There is also a leather patch on the insole where you can see both collaborator’s logos on it. On the lace lock at the front, you will also notice the word “NAM” and numbers “1956”. Embossed on the back heel is the word SUBVERT, which Jem mentioned in his interview with Reebok is about pushing the envelope and challenging the status quo, a motto which Jem and the team at CROSSOVER have been living by.
The shoe drops locally this coming Saturday, the 4th of July 2015 at the CROSSOVER concept store in Mid Valley at 11am. Be sure to follow them on Instagram ( @crossoverconceptstore ) to stay up to date with this pair.
