Converse teams up with world-renowned tattoo artist Dr. Woo once again for another collaboration. The latest collaborative capsule consists of four shoes, two for adults and two for children.

“The shoe is a culmination of all things that I love – vintage, the wearing in of your own clothes, how it keeps developing, transitioning, and how the Chuck, specifically, can stay in your life so long. The way you receive your shoe is not the end game. It is fully pliable and moldable to however the wearer wants to wear it. Putting your shoe through that is the reward, seeing how it gets beat up”, Woo says.

Similar to the Air Jordan 1 “Lance Mountain”, the more the consumer wears this latest collaborative pack, the outer layer of the uppers will wear away further revealing a wildly-designed set of colorful graphics beneath. Besides aesthetics, durability is priority, therefore three-layer GORE-TEX fabrics are added to the uppers which recreates a water and wind resistant effect. Woo drew both designs on the children’s pair dubbed the Mellon and Horizon Blue colorway as a symbol to reinterpret iconic Converse prints. Consumers may expect a semi-translucent vulcanized sole unit and Woo’s signature eye motif on the toe cap, completing two intriguing looks for adults.

If you are planning to purchase a pair, the pack will be releasing exclusively at Crossover Mid Valley tomorrow (6th of September). You probably wouldn’t want to miss out on a shoe which looks better with more wear. #teamwearyourshoes
