Nike has a knack for rummaging through its parts bin and come up with new shoes and designs after a Frankenstein-esque resurrection featuring various parts together. Remember the time when Nike used to put the Vapormax sole on literally anything they could get their hands on in the catalogue? Thank your lucky stars the Nike Air Max 270 React isn’t like that.

In fact, what it is though, is a more tasteful rendition of a hybrid sneaker that features two of Nike’s more refined technology spread, the React foam and one of Nike’s tallest Air unit to date. Let’s talk about the midsole first.

The cushioning stays true to its React and Air Max names, combining both for a more responsive and bouncier cushioning for increased comfort while the upper borrows heavily from the Element 87, featuring bar tach construction technique as overlaid panels seem like they float due to the removal of typical no-sew and stitched on methods.

The colour blocking too, takes inspiration from Bauhaus art, with bright pastels and rich tones contrast each other for a very eye-catching daily model.

The Nike Air Max 270 React is available for purchase on the 12th of July at Nike.com for a price of RM 609.
