It’s long-awaited return has come in time for both the 15th anniversary of the SB Dunk and the 20th anniversary of Staple Design. Down in the history of sneakers, 13 years ago Jeff Staple and Reed Space changed the sneaker collecting culture when the “Pigeon” SB Dunk Low release caused an actual riot in New York City. The limited edition sneaker has become one of the most sought after since then it is worth as much as $10,000 on the market.

Jeff Staple presents a blank slate of simple black to “just let the Pigeon be the story”, as he puts it. Dubbed the “Black Pigeon“, this Nike SB Dunk dressed in a tonal black nubuck upper is built with Nubuck and Stetson Water Proof Leather, the original padded thick tongue with the pinching heel lobe and reworked the classic “Sienna” red outsole platform are the newest addition to this holy grail. Details like the Nike branding can be seen at the heel tab, and signature embroidered pigeon at the lateral heel that gave the shoe its name. To throwback to 2005, the original pink SB box has been brought back just for this release.

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Black Pigeon” will launch November 11 online.
