The release of the New Balance 990 V5 raised a bit of eyebrows when it was first introduced. Gone were the intricate panelings on the lateral side of the shoe, replaced with a TPU heel strap, and the toebox is made to look a bit wedgier. However, as time passes by, it grows onto you, and has become a permanent fixture in Bryan’s rotation.
