To some people, there is absolutely no excuse not to run, but sometimes bad weather can be hampering to these schedules, and especially with the torrential downpour and strong wind that’s been hitting the Klang Valley, you may be walking away with more than just being miserably wet and freezing cold.

For these dark months then, welcome everyone, to the Nike Pegasus Turbo Shield. Yes, the moniker may sound a little tacky, but it does exactly what it’s advertised to do. The upper is reworked so that it is completely resistant to water, the seams are sealed to ensure that no splashes can get in, the outsole is slightly redesigned to channel water out of the way, and the rubber is replaced with a grippier version ensuring no traction is loss on wet surfaces. A heel strap and zip ensures you’re able to personalise the fit.

The upper gets blacked out with the medial portion cladded in purple, while the outsole is split down the centre in black and volt for added visibility.

The price for all these upgrades? RM 845. Steep, but when you’re not making any excuses, is RM 845 too high of an expense? The Nike Pegasus Turbo Shield is available to purchase online now.
