Better, We Think

The archives for Nike is a very interesting place, and with Samuel Ross of A Cold Wall* having pulled one out of its pages to use for its Nike collaboration, the Swoosh thought it’d be a fairly good idea to reintroduce it back into the rotation.

Enter the Nike Zoom Vomero 5, now under the wings of the Special Projects department, and looking much more sleeker without the air-conditioning unit (read: tab) on the back of the shoe. Quite closely mirroring the colour scheme. The SP model features much of the same as compared to the ACW model, having implemented synthetic leather and mesh panels with a Nike Swoosh. The reflective paneling on the front and back of the shoe adds a touch of detailing to the sneaker.

The only thing missing, or rather implemented is that this model doesn’t peel off its protective layer for the shoe to age faster unlike the ACW model. Regardless, the retro runner look is one that’s definitely noticeable on foot, and would make as a comfortable everyday shoe should you choose to do so.

This pair is set to release on the 1st of February – 9:00 MYT on nike.com and while no prices have been released yet, it is expected to retail at approximately RM620.00.
