It’s hard to believe that the Nike Pegasus Turbo has gone through its product life that quick, having had its upper updated with lighter materials and a more simplistic design.
Chiefly of which is that the ‘racing stripe’ has now gone in favour of a cleaner looking outlook that’s more understated in its form as a running shoe. A combination of a translucent material and lofted mesh is used to make the upper, while a midfoot band helps keep the foot in place during runs.
And that’s about it. Not much has changed on the midsole portion, except now the outsole comes in gum. Zoom X is still used as the cushioning of choice, while a neon green colourway wraps up the silhouette, making for a highly visible trainer.
Shame that the stripe is no longer, because it does set the Turbo apart from the normal Pegasus, but unless you look at it with a microscope, the differences are tiny. Still, for the fans of subtlety, this may be the training upgrade for you.
The Nike Pegasus Turbo 2 releases on the 4th of July for a price of RM 735 on Nike.com.
