It’s about time the Nike Zoom Fly received a much needed update. After the normal and SP versions which introduced the high energy returns on propulsion, the Swoosh has taken steps to refine the silhouette even further to get the best out of the most accessible high tier running shoe Nike’s ever made.
Following the introduction of a transparent upper seen on the SP version, the Zoom Fly 3 features a reworked version of the stuff called the Vaporweave that reduces moisture absorption to remain dry and airy with a new arch-band lacing system that offers a more customizable fit. However, the biggest change isn’t the upper, but rather, the midsole, and the implementation of the React foam on it.
Changing to the React foam promises more responsive cushioning that’s married to a full-length carbon fibre plate that gives a sensation of propulsion as you push your way forward. The offset too is designed to reduce Achilles strain and the tall midsole provides impact cushioning as you pound the miles on end. Not forgetting too the outsole, which has been redesigned to suit the foot better and provide better traction during wet runs. Quality considerations for anyone who wants to start running.
The Nike Zoom Fly 3 releases tomorrow on Nike.com for a price of around RM 661.
