Nike blends the past with the future by creating the Nike Vapormax 97, a hybrid between the Air Max 97 with the all-new engineered Vapormax outsole. The upcoming colorway for this hybrid will be in Black and Neon and is called the Nike Vapormax 97 ‘Japan’ as it resembles closely to the Nike Air Max 97 OG ‘Japan’. This hybrid will continue to be a trend within Nike Sportswear’s Air Max department especially with the hype around Sean Wotherspoon’s Air Max 97/1 design from the Vote Forward campaign from the previous year which has definitely garnered attention and hype surrounding hybrid silhouettes.
