PUMA introduces their latest collaboration with brand ambassador Selena Gomez with a one-of-a-kind assortment that involves ‘strength’ stitched into every piece. Selena Gomez gets her inspiration from legacies of strong women from the past to recreate classic pieces for the modern girl with elements of women empowerment incorporated into the collection. The collection is dubbed “Strong Girl” which is inspired by Selena’s initials while emphasizing important qualities Selena thinks the modern lady should have, ‘strength’. Featuring confident colors, bold silhouettes and various taste and styles that appeal to a strong girl’s personality, the collection is well-thought out with a balance of femininity and modern edge. The highlight of the collection, SG Runner, a silhouette designed and constructed by the artist herself, incorporates Selena’s personal style with PUMA’s classic court and running shoes. Lightweight, knitted uppers, and high rebound EVA, the SG Runner nods to the style of the 80s and 90s with an LA vibe. Besides the SG Runner, the DEFY story continues with the DEFY Mid x SG, a bootie-cut training shoe features a black metal buckle, a rose-gold plated chain and a textured knitted upper. The collection comprises of key pieces meant for layering, mixing and matching to further tie in with different moods and settings.
