For Spring/Summer 2014, Adidas has teamed up with five designers from Asia for the Consortium Stan Smith, for this “PLAY” pack, they team up with Shigeki Fujishiro from Tokyo.
Tokyo-based product designer Shigeki Fujishiro expresses the Stan Smith with a very playful design while maintaining the shoe’s bare-bones aesthetic. The leather upper is kept in minimalist white while the shoe featured colored string that’s been woven to create graphic shapes on each side of the shoe, integrating the perforated 3-Stripes from the original silhouette. The tonal grey “Endorsed by Stan Smith” logo is featured on the tongue while the “Stan Smith Play” callout is printed along its side panels finishes the details.
The shoe is already available at JUICE KL with the price of RM599.
