We were right it seems when we speculated the rise of the SB Dunks, and the magnitude of said collabs have just switched up with the eventual release of the Strangelove Nike SB Dunk Lows.
A loveletter of sorts from the founder, Sean Cliver, the shoe is a direct reflection of the “Nike envy” he used to have back when he couldn’t afford the latest Nike silhouettes. As such, the collab has his heart inscribed onto it, down to the colours, material selection, and embroidery on the heel.
Taking inspiration from Valentine’s Day, the shoe comes with a rich blend of velvet and suede textures donned up in a bright blend of red and punk. Skull-faced heart embroideries on the rear laterals make themselves known, while the insoles incorporate a split-graphic of skeletal Cupids and a skateboard intertwined with a rose.
Finished with a transparent outsole, heart-shaped confetti is scattered on the forefoot and heel regions.
The Nike SB Dunk X Strangelove will drop on the 8th of February on Nike.com for a price of RM 389.
